Riesenbeck, Germany – May 05, 2022 – Lucas Porter (USA) and C Hunter were the stars of the day at the Riesenbeck International CSI 2*, claiming the win in the first qualifier for the grand prix next Sunday. Despite his young age and facing mostly more experienced riders, the young American beat 60 other combinations in the €26,000 Speed Challenge CSI 2*. Porter powered to victory abord Sleepy P Ranch‘s 2007 grey Zangersheide gelding (Cassini II x Corland), dashing across the finish line in 65.84 seconds to complete their penalty–free performance.
As no surprise, the host nation claimed the next four highest positions in the contest. Tim Rieskamp-Goedeking (GER) and Ventago (Van Helsing x Scendix) were the closest ones, producing a penalty-free performance in 69.08 seconds for silver honors.
Hans-Thorben Rüder (GER) and Dakota 420 (Ustinov x Caretino 2) completed the podium with no penalties in 69.51 seconds.
