Lexi Ferder & Karienh2 Turn on the “Cruise Control Mode” in the $32,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 2*

Ocala, United States โ€“ June 25, 2026 โ€“ American rider Lexi Ferder (USA) continued her strong form at the fourth week of the WEC Ocala Summer Series, earning a podium finish in Friday’s $32,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 2* at the World Equestrian Center โ€“ Ocala. Navigating Alan Wade’s (IRL) technical 1.45-meter track, Ferder and Karienh 2 delivered two clean rounds to finish third with a jump-off time of 34.08 seconds.

The partnership showcased consistency and composure throughout the class, advancing to a competitive jump-off against 8 other combinations before producing another faultless effort against an international field. Although just over a second separated them from the winning pace, Ferder’s smooth and efficient ride secured a well-deserved place on the podium.

Karienh2, a 10-year-old chestnut KWPN mare by Carambole out of a mare by Islander, displayed her trademark carefulness and athleticism over Wade’s demanding course. The mare’s ability to combine scope with speed and rideability allowed Ferder to turn on the “cruise control mode” throughout the course, adding another notable international result to the partnership’s growing rรฉsumรฉ.

The victory belonged to Canada’s Erynn Ballard (CAN), who enjoyed a remarkable afternoon by finishing first and second in the class. Riding Greta de la Dinais, Ballard posted the fastest double-clear performance in 32.46 seconds, before returning aboard Ginger Ask to secure the runner-up position in 33.27 seconds.

With another podium finish at the prestigious World Equestrian Center โ€“ Ocala, Ferder and Karienh2 continue to establish themselves as a promising combination on the CSI 2* circuit. Their performance in the qualifier highlighted the mare’s talent and consistency while providing valuable momentum heading into the remainder of the WEC Ocala Summer Series.
