Charlie Jayne & Midas Show they Have the Perfect Touch in the $32,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Welcome CSI 2*

Lexington, Kentucky – September 18, 2026 – The last East Coast stop of the Split Rock Jumping Tour‘s (SRJT) calendar year brought the event back to its home base for the first of two weeks in Lexington, Kentucky, with the Split Rock Kentucky National CSI 2*. The last FEI winner of the last SRJT-hosted Kentucky Horse Park event, Charlie Jayne (USA), picked up right where he left off, claiming his seat in the winner’s circle after a noteworthy performance in the $32,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Welcome CSI 2* – 1.45m aboard Midas (Up To Date x Quality 9), co-owned by Charlie & Nicole and Margaret De Remer.

Manuel Esparza (MEX) set forth 15 jumping efforts for the first round, consisting of a double (oxer-vertical) and triple (vertical-oxer-vertical) combination across the expansive Rolex Stadium. Time, however, proved one of the biggest obstacles with four combinations ultimately only withheld from a clear effort by the 78-second time-allowed. At the end of round one, ten combinations earned their spot into the jump-off round with Lisa Goldman-Smolen (USA) and Kady Abrahamson (USA) both having two rides.

The jump-off track offered several areas for athletes to showcase their handiness, with one particularly tight loop back from the fourth to fifth obstacle. Second in for round two, Francisco Goyoaga Mollet (ESP) seemed to answer all of the questions, laying down a quick pace of 39.43 seconds aboard Ashland Farms’ Stakato Cornet (Cornet Obolensky x Argelith Stakkato) to put the pressure on the remaining athletes.

**Kady Abrahamson** (USA) & **Gomorra Z**

Abrahamson entered next with Gomorra Z (George Z x Vigo d’Arsouilles STX), owned by Abrahamson Equestrian LLC, giving a nice run at the leading time, however she fell just short, crossing the timers in 40.60 seconds.

Jayne followed, laying down an impressive pace by utilizing the 9-year-old gelding’s quick foot speed to navigate tight turns and slick rollbacks, blasting through the timers in 38.51 seconds that the remaining six combinations were unable to catch. Goyoaga Mollet would settle for second while Abrahamson claimed third.

“It’s always iconic to show in the Rolex Stadium,” exclaimed Jayne of the week’s main jumper ring location. “The horses jump phenomenal in it, the footing is great and Split Rock really does a great job of managing the whole show throughout the week to have everything go to the best of its ability for both the exhibitors and the horses.”

Competition will continue through the weekend, with international jumper classes culminating on Sunday under the $65,000 1.45m Grand Prix CSI 2*, presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. SRJT will continue for a second week with the Split Rock Fall Classic CSI 3*, highlighting the $35,000 C. Jarvis Insurance 1.45m Welcome CSI 3* on Friday and the $100,000 Grand Prix CSI 3*, presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, on Sunday.
