Tracy Fenney Completes the Sweep in the $50,000 YETI American Standard Grand Prix

Ocala, Florida โ€“ June 05, 2025 โ€“ Sunday morning capped off feature competition during Week IV of the 2026 Summer Series at World Equestrian Center โ€“ Ocala (WEC) with the $50,000 YETI American Standard Grand Prix. Twenty-five horse-and-rider combinations contested the class, but it was Saturday nightโ€™s winner of the $85,000 Budweiser Grand Prix CSI 2*, Tracy Fenney (USA), who returned to the winnerโ€™s circle once again, this time aboard MTM Farmโ€™s MTM Myrbalia O (Davenport VDL x Imke-Balia O).

Meghan Rawlins (CAN) once again set the tracks, allowing nine combinations to advance to the jump-off.

Jelmer Hoekstra (NED) & Bellissima DH Z

First to return for the short course, Jelmer Hoekstra (NED) laid down an incredibly quick target aboard Hoekstra Stablesโ€™ eight-year-old Warmblood mare Bellissima DH Z (Bamako de Muze x Wouskarla). The pair produced a fault-free effort in 40.008 seconds to put the pressure on the remaining contenders.

Fenney entered the ring unsure if anyone could catch Hoekstraโ€™s blazing pace. โ€œI watched Jelmer and I was like, โ€˜Oh my, that was really, really fast,’โ€ Fenney shared. โ€œHe did all the inside cuts and left out all the strides. I didnโ€™t think I had a shot at all.โ€

However, things quickly began to come together from the first fence. โ€œI caught the first jump really well, and you know, when you take a risk you can have it down just as easy as you leave it up.โ€ Fortunately, everything stayed in place. โ€œKnock on wood, I was lucky, and she left it out and stayed high and jumped good.โ€

The pair flew through the timers, shaving more than a second off Hoekstraโ€™s leading time to stop the clock in an unbeatable 38.626 seconds.

Last to return, Camille Maynard (USA) made a strong impression aboard Anne Hormelโ€™s nine-year-old Selle Franรงais gelding Uncle Johnโ€™s Band (Balko dโ€™Elle x Orangeade Mail). The pair stopped the clock in 41.208 seconds to secure third place honors.

Fenney spoke highly of the Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) mare, whom she has partnered with for the past six months. โ€œSheโ€™s super fun and very aggressive,โ€ Fenney said. โ€œSheโ€™s only eight, but I donโ€™t treat her like most eight-year-olds because she is so assured of herself. Sheโ€™s super, super brave.โ€

Following Saturday nightโ€™s CSI2* victory and Sundayโ€™s grand prix win, Fenney joked that she hopes the streak continues. โ€œI love trends,โ€ she laughed. โ€œLike I said, itโ€™s a new day every day, and Iโ€™m just glad weโ€™re here every day and doing what we love to do.โ€
