Ocala, United States โ July 04, 2026 โ A packed crowd gathered under the lights of the WEC Grand Arena on Independence Day to watch the $85,000 Budweiser Grand Prix CSI 2* during Week IV of the 2026 Summer Series. Twenty-six horse-and-rider combinations representing 12 nations battled for the top spot, but it was Tracy Fenney (USA) who delivered a victory for the United States on the Fourth of July while also celebrating her wedding anniversary aboard Davenport Farmsโ MTM Pablo (Perigueux x Contendro I).
Meghan Rawlins (CAN) designed the winding 1.45m track that featured 16 jumping efforts. Eight combinations answered all the questions, producing fault-free first rounds to secure a spot in the jump-off.
Jenna Friedman-Lopez (ISR) was first to return for the short course and set the pace with an efficient clear round in 43.96 seconds aboard Diamond RBC Z.

Lauren Murphy (USA) followed with her first of two mounts, Qinaki van den Dael (Iron Man vanโt Meulenhof x Eros Platiere). Fresh off a victory in Wednesdayโs $32,000 Budweiser 1.45m Speed CSI2*, Murphy and the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare continued their winning form, stopping the clock in 42.09 seconds to move into the lead.
Fenney returned next aboard MTM Can Talk To Me and immediately put pressure on Murphy, producing another clear effort in 42.16 seconds to slot into second place.

With one horse already on the podium, Fenney returned aboard MTM Pablo determined to better her own time. โI didnโt really get to watch anybody go because I was third and fourth in the order, so it was a quick turnaround,โ she shared. โI knew from my first horse that the jumps came up faster than I thought they did.โ
โOne to two came up nicely, but turning back to the church jump was way tighter than you thought it would be. The double rode nice, and then that vertical came on quite an angle. Really, the โCโ element of the combination came up quickly and suddenly you were right on top of it. Then I did a long hauling ride to the last jump and kind of caught a flyer. I think it probably woke him up enough that he was just like, โOh, Iโm getting my legs up and getting them out of the way.’โ

Fenney and the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding left nothing on the table, galloping to the final fence and soaring through the timers in an uncatchable 39.80 seconds.
The partnership continues to rack up victories, earning their third FEI win together this summer season. โItโs just fun to have another consistent horse,โ Fenney said. โIโm so lucky to have all these horses that try for me, and to have another one in the string is amazing. He just wants to please everybody and be so careful. Heโs so automatically fast that you really donโt have to do anything except be a pilot up there.โ
As if a Fourth of July victory wasnโt enough, the win also came on Fenneyโs wedding anniversary. โHow can it be better,โ she laughed. โYou never expect to win. I think all wins are good, and I think all the courses always look hard, so I never feel like Iโm a shoo-in or anything. But when horses try for you, itโs a great feeling.โ

Last to return for the jump-off was Cormac Hanley (IRL) aboard Heathman Farm, LLCโs Santiago vh Netehof (Untouchable 27 x Diamant de Semilly). The pair entered Saturday nightโs feature class with momentum on their side after capturing Thursdayโs $32,000 Budweiser Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 2*. Hanley and the talented eight-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, the youngest horse in the field, once again delivered a blazing performance, crossing the timers in 40.09 seconds to secure second place and bump Murphy and Qinaki van den Dael to third.
Emilio Medina (HON) earned the $5,000 bonus as the highest-placed U25 rider after piloting Balou de Revel to sixth place. Anival Perez also received a $1,000 bonus as the groom of the winning horse.
