Bridgehampton, New York โ August 31, 2025 โ The second of six riders to jump off for top honors in Sundayโs $25,000 Agneta & Brownlee Currey Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic presented by FarmVet and The Currey Family, Elena Haas (USA) set the time to beat with her faultless score of 34.670 seconds aboard her 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Ogue BT Special. Only two other riders posted double-clear scores, but when they couldnโt catch Haasโs time, she took her place in the winnerโs circle.
Celebrating 50 years of world-class equestrian competition in 2025, the Hampton Classic Horse Show takes place in Bridgehampton, NY, August 24-31, featuring FEI CSI 5* and CSI 2* show jumping and USEF Premier hunter competitions with more than $1 million in prize money. The week culminates in the $400,000 Longines Hampton Classic Grand Prix CSI 5*, one of the worldโs premier show jumping competitions, on Sunday, August 31.
Hampton Classic course designer Nick Granat tested the 30 junior and amateur entries with a 16-effort track in Sundayโs 1.45m Jumper Classic, where only six moved on to the jump-off and three walked away without faults. Haas and Ogue BT Special proved uncatchable with their 34.670-second time.
The 2025 Gotham North/North American Youth Championships presented by USHJA (NAYC) Young Rider team gold medalist, Ariana Marnell (USA) claimed second place in 35.263 seconds aboard Marnell Sport Horsesโ 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding Navaar.
Third went to NAYC Junior team bronze medalist Rylynn Conway (USA), who tripped the timers in 38.481 seconds with her NAYC partner, Conway Equestrianโs 12-year-old Oldenburg mare Capella Y.

โWeโve had perfect riding conditions, and I thought the course today was great,โ Haas said. โThis is such a competitive division, but I think that the course asked a lot of very good questions and really suited my horse. Iโve had him for two years now, and I just really trust and rely on him, especially when Iโm faced with a bigger track like this. I felt very confident going in. The jump-off also really suited him; I could be neat in the beginning and really pick up a good gallop to the last few jumps, which is more his style.โ
