Two Americans on the Podium as Richard Spooner Secures Silver Honors in the $32,000 Two-Phase Special CSI 4*

Ocala, Florida, USA โ€“ February 26 , 2025 โ€“ Two Americans on the podium. The United States got off to a strong start in the CSI 4* last Wednesday at World Equestrian Center – Ocala. In the battle between two Richards, Richard Vogel (GER) nipped Richard Spooner (USA) in the ย $32,000 Two-Phase Special CSI 4*. The 1.45m challenge was contested by 30 combinations but the German and Phenyo van het Keysersbos, theย 10-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood stallionย (Corydon van T&L x Heartbreaker), were supreme by being clean all the way to the wire, completing the second section of the course in 30.47 seconds.

Vogel blazed past two great American riders. In fact,ย Richard Spoonerย (USA) was right on his heels aboardย Lyjanair, finishing just one-tenth of a second off the winning mark set by the German.

Kent Farringtonย (USA) &ย Orafinaย 

Kent Farringtonย (USA) andย Orafinaย were a bit further back, rounding out the top three in 31.42 seconds.
