
Ocala, Florida, United States – February 27, 2025 – Olympic gold medalist McLain Ward (USA) and La Serra put the pedal to the metal last Thursday at World Equestrian Center – Ocala. Going up against 21 other combinations in the – 1.45m challenge, the American and the 11-year-old Holsteiner mare (Casall x Lacros) triumphed in the $32,000 Speed Challenge CSI 2*, charging across the finish line in 58.65 seconds after a penalty-free performance.

Will Simpson (USA) and Whoop De Doo registered no penalties too, finishing second in 59.09 seconds.

Philip McGuane (IRL) and Linguini de la Pomme powered towards bronze honors, doing so in 59.48 seconds after a flawless run around the course.

Final Results – $32,000 Speed Challenge CSI 2* – 1.45m
1) McLain Ward (USA) & La Serra – 0 – 58.65
2) Will Simpson (USA) & Whoop De Doo – 0 – 59.09
3) Philip McGuane (IRL) & Linguini de la Pomme – 0 – 59.48
