
Wellington, Florida, USA – April 20, 2023 – Family Feud! A very unusual battle between sisters-in-law took place on Thursday during the third week of the Spring Series at Wellington International as Kelli Cruciotti-Vanderveen (USA) and Kristen Vanderveen (USA) battled it out for the win in the $39,000 Perfect Products CSI 3*.
A total of 40 combinations took place in the special two-phase challenge but it was Kelli who came out on top with Forever SFN, a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood / Royal Dutch Sport Horse gelding (Azteca VDL x Non Stop), completing the final section of the course in 30.73 seconds.
Kristen Vanderveen (USA) and Bull Run’s Faustino de Tili (Berlin x Darco) were nipped at the finish line by just four-hundredths of a second, tripping the final timers in 30.77 seconds.
Erynn Ballard (CAN) and Narcotique V/H Dingenshof (Harley VDL x Chacco-Blue) were also clean all the way to the wire, rounding out the top three in 31.06 seconds.
