Kristen Vanderveen & Bull Run’s Faustino de Tili Reign Again at Tryon

Mill Spring, North Carolina, USA – June 10, 2022 – Ever since their first win at the venue back in 2015, Kristen Vanderveen (USA) and Bull Run’s Faustino de Tili have been the winningest combination over the past years at the Tryon Equestrian Center International Center (TIEC) and on Wednesday the duo added another victory to their amazing record, topping the $37,000 FEI Two-Phase Challenge CSI 3*.

This time, the outcome of the 1.45m two-phase challenge was as tight as it gets compared to most previous victories by the American and the 17-year-old grey Holsteiner stallion (Berlin x Darco). The duo claimed the win by only one-hundredth of a second, registering no penalties in 23.13 seconds at the end of phase two.

Santiago Lambre (BRA) & Cetano van Aspergem Z

Winner of the $139,000 CrossFit Wide Open Grand Prix CSI 3* there last Saturday, Santiago Lambre (BRA) put on two great efforts to dethrone the “Queen and King of Tryon”. In fact, he and Cetano van Aspergem Z (Clinton I x Ahorn Z) were nipped at the finish line, finishing only one-hundredth of a second slower than the winners.

Santiago Lambre (BRA) & Pampero

Lambre managed to finish third too, this time teaming up with Pampero (Chacco-Blue x Nekton) towards a clean performance all the way to the wire, crossing the final timers in 23.28 seconds.
