Audrey Schulze & Dalakann De Bremoy Top $10,000 Old Salem Farm Speed Derby

North Salem, New York – May 15, 2022 – The $10,000 Old Salem Farm 1.40m Speed Derby followed later in the afternoon, with Alan Wade challenging a field of 20 entries over another 16-effort course. Pathfinder Audrey Schulze (USA), set an impossible time to beat at 74.441 seconds riding Dalakann De Bremoy, a 9-year-old Selle Français mare owned by Riverbrook Sport Horses LLC.

“The horse I won on, I got this fall,” said Schulze, who bookended the class with her fifth-place finisher Mr. Cash. “I’ve only shown her a couple of times because I broke my arm and didn’t get to compete for most of the winter. This was my first 1.40m with her, and she’s a really cool mare. I’m really excited to win this class. There were a lot of opportunities around the course to either get a number or find a distance and run, and I’m looking forward to the future with her.”

Week 1 highlights include the $40,000 New York Welcome Stake and the $125,000 Old Salem Farm Grand Prix. Week 2 competition is highlighted by the $65,000 Welcome Stake of North Salem, $10,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, and the $5,000 Old Salem Farm Grooms Class. The Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows conclude on Sunday, May 22, with the $200,000 Empire State Grand Prix at approximately 2:30 p.m.
