Ocala, Florida, USA – February 26, 2022 – An international field of athletes representing eight countries gathered this evening to contest the $75,000 Alltech Grand Prix with a full house of spectators adding to the electric atmosphere under the lights. FEI Level II course designer Colm Quinn (IRL) built the complex tracks that featured three double combinations and a new brick wall fence that caught out several competitors throughout the evening. While fifteen entries advanced to the jump-off and eleven pairs managed double clear rounds, Peter Petschenig (AUT) and Brooke Peterson’s Ennebel Van Het Posthuijs were simply uncatchable.
Samantha Schaefer (USA) and Bonne Vie LLC’s Frasier (Carambole x Bloem) rounded out the top three in tonight’s $75,000 Alltech Grand Prix. Schaefer and the 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding logged a first round time of 83.318 seconds. The pair came back down the ramp to contest the jump-off, dashing through the entire track in a time of 36.730 seconds.
