Ocala, Florida, USA – February 03, 2022 – Three weeks of the 2022 HITS Ocala Winter Circuit are now complete! The Ocala Premiere featured the first of seven weeks of FEI CSI2* competition, along with special classes for Jumpers and Hunters at the National level. Read on for the winners of Week III’s featured competition.
FEI competition began on Thursday with the $25,000 SmartPak Open Welcome. Five riders completed the first round cleanly to advance to the second round. Jenni McAllister (USA) was the first to attempt the short course, and she and Escada VS posted a fast, clean time of 31.513. Aaron Vale (USA) and Francois Lamontagne (CAN) each found trouble on the sixth jump of the short course, and while clean, Hunter Holloway (USA) and Dorothy Douglas (USA) just couldn’t match McAllister’s quick time, securing her the first FEI win of the Circuit.
