Ocala, Florida, USA – February 11, 2022 – Thirty riders took to the Stadium on Friday afternoon to contest a winding track built by Joey Rycroft (CAN), but it was Samantha Schaefer (USA) and Frasier (Carambole x Bloem) that earned an anniversary win.
“This is Frasier and I’s one year anniversary. This was the very first class I ever showed him in last year and he won. Same arena, same day and same results,” smiled Schaefer.
Schaefer (USA) and the 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding managed a seamless first round, jumping each fence with total ease in 77.866 seconds. Schaefer and Frasier went right to the jump-off dashing through the course, jumping to the top of the standards stopping the timers at 29.689 seconds for the win.
Ireland’s Willie Tynan (IRL) and Michelle Guardino-Dettelbach’s Fancy Girl were just behind the leading pair, with a very fast time of 30.279 seconds in the jump-off.
