Wellington, Florida – January 29, 2022 – Double header Rising Stars at Polo West! During the final week of January 2022, The Ridge Turf Tour offered two of their $5,000 1.30M Rising Star classes, a Classic and a Grand Prix on Wednesday and Friday, January 26 and 28. Turf Tour 4 marks the first of only three weeks of competition this season where The Ridge will offer a double header Rising Star and a Saturday $15,000 Grand Prix, plus $3,000 and $2,500 JR/AM and Child Adult 1.20-1.25M divisions.
Alex Granato (USA), who is quickly becoming the leading rider of the 2022 Turf Tour season, captured another win in Wednesday’s Rising Star Classic, piloting Indio to a wire-to-wire victory in 36.809 seconds, less than a second behind Granato and Indio. Daniel Coyle (IRL) and Legacy finished second on 36.885 seconds. Ryan Genn (USA) and VDL Genius rounded out the top three in the Classic on 40.204 seconds.
