Vanessa Hood Named Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for October

Lexington, Kentucky – November 10, 2021 – Vanessa Hood (USA) of Wellington, FL has been selected as Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for October. This marks the second consecutive month, and third time this year, that Hood has won this honor!

Hood (USA) competes in the East Conference, Amateur Division of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series. After her outstanding month of September, when she won the award with her mount, Lou Lou VLS, she earned the October honor by winning the Show Jumping Hall of Fame class at the Washington International Horse Show on Santauer. She also placed sixth in the class on Lou Lou VLS, the mount on whom she wound up winning the Series’ East Conference, Amateur Division championship. She also won the Rider of the Month for April when she and Lou Lou won the final Hall of Fame class at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington.

The Show Jumping Hall of Fame conducts the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series. The Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur riders in two Conferences and follows Grand Prix rules and specifications. Each month the Series honors the one rider who earns the most points on one horse in Series competition that month. The Series provides an opportunity for amateur and junior riders to compete at higher levels and serves as a proving ground for many who aspire to ride in international competition
