Lexington, Kentucky – August 09, 2021 – The Sonoma Horse Park is continually taking the utmost precautionary measures to ensure equine safety through strict hygiene and biosecurity practices. During the 30-day vacancy of the facility prior to the arrival of Split Rock Jumping Tour (SRJT), additional measures will be taken to reduce transmission of disease and contamination.

The Sonoma, California stop for the Split Rock Jumping Tour now requires that all horses entering the show facility at the Sonoma Horse Park provide a negative Coggins test within one year of entry as well as a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Health Certificate) signed by a licensed veterinarian within 7 days of entry. All horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus 1 & 4 vaccinations within six months prior to entering the grounds and the date of vaccination must be noted on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection or documented by means noted in USEF GR845.
The CVI or an accompanying written statement signed by a licensed veterinarian WITHIN 7 DAYS must document that the horse(s) have not shown symptoms or been treated for EHV-1/4 nor been at a facility under quarantine for EHV-1/4 nor been exposed to any horses showing symptoms of EHV-1/4 during the past 28 days.
SRJT requires all horses’ temperature be taken at least twice daily for the duration of your time at the Sonoma Horse Park. Split Rock Jumping Tour will provide temperature logs for each horse.
Horses with a temperature reading higher than 101.5, or showing any signs of respiratory or neurological disease, must be immediately reported to the on-site veterinarian representative from Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center and show management.
