Lucy Deslauriers & Billy de Beaufour are the Best in ABN Amro Prize CSIO 5* at Rotterdam

Rotterdam, The Netherlands – July 02, 2021 – The winner of Friday’s opening competition was American rider Lucy Deslauriers (USA) with Billy de Beaufour. In the ABN AMRO prize CSIO 5*, riders had to complete a course with two phases. Twenty-four combinations entered the arena, of which 14 remained faultless to compete in phase two. No less than 12 of them managed to clear the course without any mistakes.

In the end, Deslauriers (USA) and the 10-year-old bay Selle Français gelding (Allegreto x Diamant de Semilly) claimed top honors in the 1.40m two-phase challenge, completing the second section of the course flawlessly in 29.65 seconds for the victory.

Sanne Thijssen (NED) and Genasis (Echo van T Spieveld x Montender 2) redeemed themselves after their elimination on Thursday by finishing second this time around, timed in 31.76 seconds.

Norwegian rider Johan Sebasebastian Gulliksen (NOR) and Billy Cool (Billy Congo x Kannan) also clean and fast all the way to the finish line, rounding out the top three in 32.37 seconds.
