Parker, Colorado, USA – July 06, 2021 – In Saturday’s $25,000 LEG Grand Prix at Summer in the Rockies IV, amateur rider Jami Jensen (USA) and Crooked Willow Farms’ 16-year-old stallion Aksai Chin VDL trained by Karen Cudmore topped a competitive field of horse and rider pairs.
“It was a really good course for us because my horse has quite a big step,” Jami commented. “We have a great relationship and I can really call on him and that’s such a good feeling to have with your partner. I had a three-month hiatus because of an illness and this is my first week back. It was a great day.”
Shannon Hicks (USA) and Helen Gilbert’s Clearwater 5 were second and Karen Cudmore (USA) and Coneja, owned by Blair Cudmore took home the third place award.
With this grand prix win, Jami is now in contention for a LEGIS Rider Bonus with the opportunity to win up to $5,000 in bonus money.
