MTM Apple Continues to Be More Like “Apple Pay” for Tracy Fenney in the $50,000 The Fix Grand Prix

Ocala, Florida – June 21, 2026 – The $50,000 The Fix Grand Prix served as the feature finale of Week II of the 2026 Summer Series at World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC). Thirty-three horse-and-rider combinations took on the challenge, but once again it was Tracy Fenney (USA) who cashed in aboard MTM Apple (Favorit Ask x Kong’s Whopsie), securing her second consecutive Sunday Grand Prix victory.

Course designer Guilherme Jorge (BRA) set a rider-friendly track for the national feature, with 14 combinations producing fault-free rounds to advance to the jump-off.

Several riders qualified multiple mounts for the deciding round, including Erynn Ballard (CAN), Fenney (USA), and Luis Larrazabal (VEN).Fenney was first to return aboard MTM Can Talk To Me, setting an early pace but incurring four penalty-points.

Ballard followed with the first of her four jump-off contenders, Let’s Fly, owned by Roaring Fork Farms. The 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) gelding by Fly x Whitley never hesitated around the shortened track, blazing through the timers in 32.986 seconds to take over the lead.

**Luis Larrazabal** (VEN) & **Asconos Girl Z**

One by one, challengers tried to catch Ballard’s mark. Larrazabal came closest aboard Asconos Girl Z, owned by San Francisco Stables, stopping the clock in 33.031 seconds to slot just behind the leader.

With only a handful of riders left to contest the title, Fenney returned aboard her trusted partner MTM Apple, hoping to repeat last week’s success. “I went first, so I got to know kind of the course. Then Erynn had three in between my first horse and Apple, so I watched a couple of those. My plan is always the same with Apple. She just likes to go fast.”

At the sound of the tone, the pair wasted no time. “I was actually very, very lucky at jump two. I think she hit it in front and hit it behind and somehow put it back in the cups. That’s where I wasn’t sure if I lost a lot of time, but her foot speed is good,” Fenney laughed. “Mike [McCormick] and I talked a little bit about going farther down to the second-to-last jump because everyone was rolling back and having that one down. I thought if I went down a little bit farther, maybe I’d have enough room and still be able to continue going to the last jump.”

The strategy paid off. Fenney and MTM Apple flew through the timers in 32.406 seconds, shaving more than half a second off Ballard’s leading time to secure the win.

While the victory added another impressive result to the mare’s résumé, Fenney says life outside the ring is what makes the 15-year-old Danish Warmblood mare so special. “She will go home to her tree. While the guys have their lunch, she’ll go out. I won’t leave her out too long because it’s too hot, but I promise she’ll go straight out, go to that tree, rub on it, and then go eat some grass. Then, she lets you know when it’s time to come in. She’s like, ‘Okay, I’m done.’ She’ll stand at the gate and let you know she’s ready. I love her so much and she just has the best personality.”
