Streak Continues for Chloe Reid & Chelsea 179 in the $32,000 Equine Tack & Nutritionals Speed CSI 3*

Wellington, United States โ€“ April 18, 2026 โ€“ Luck has yet to run out for Chloe Reid (USA) with a second consecutive win in Saturdayโ€™s $32,000 Equine Tack & Nutritionals Speed CSI 3*, this time aboard Chelsea 179 on the grass derby field during Week 3 of the Wellington International Spring Series, presented by Florida Coast Equipment.

Fifty-three combinations lined up for Oscar Soberonโ€™s (USA) one-round speed track, and Reid was hunting a back-to-back win after taking top call in Fridayโ€™s JTWG, Inc. Grand Prix Qualifier with Crossover 4. She set an early tone with Chelsea, an 11-year-old Oldenburg mare (Cador 5 x Laudana), posting an uncatchable 65.10-second time to beat.

โ€œShe has such a big stride when sheโ€™s confident and happy,โ€ said Reid about Chelseaโ€™s performance. โ€œOn this big field, where she can just flow out of natural rhythm, sheโ€™s hard to beat because sheโ€™s so naturally quick-paced.โ€

Tanner Korotkin (USA) & Etonemoi del Cabalero

Just over a second off Reidโ€™s pace was Tanner Korotkin (USA)โ€”also on a run of top form this week with three wins to his credit. He finished on a time of 66.14 seconds with Etonemoi del Cabalero, a 12-year-old Selle Franรงais mare owned by Lanes End Showjumping.

Reid and the mare also picked up a three-star win during the second week of the 2026 Spring Series.

โ€œThe horses feel incredible, and Iโ€™m having so much fun out there,โ€ said Reid of her recent string of top finishes on the derby field. โ€œI feel really confident in myself and in them, and I think itโ€™s showing.โ€

Based out of Ocala, FL, Reid admits that her home farm plays a big role in her horsesโ€™ performance, โ€œI donโ€™t have a sand ring at home, so I ride every day on grass. I think theyโ€™re used to itโ€”theyโ€™re outside eight hours a day. I like to think that they feel back to their roots and are so happy out there.โ€

Reid celebrated the win with her family on the sidelines at Wellington International. โ€œTo have all these people on your side rooting for you behind the scenes is what gives you confidence as a rider and makes you feel like you can go in there and win it every day.โ€

Breaking the timer beam at 66.62 seconds was Colombiaโ€™s Mark Bluman (COL), settling for a third riding S&L Eyes 4U, an 8-year-old Selle Franรงais.

Heading into Sunday, Reid will hold the anchor position in the $120,000 Palm Beach County Sports Commission Grand Prix CSI 3*. โ€œIโ€™ve already had a good week, so anything on top of this is gravy for me,โ€ she concluded. โ€œThe horses feel fantastic, and Iโ€™m happy that weโ€™re ending the circuit in a great way.โ€

The Spring Series spans five weeks and runs through May 10, featuring hunter, jumper and equitation competition at Wellington International, home of the famed Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Learn more about the Spring Series HERE.
