Wellington, United States – January 22, 2026 – The very best of Ansgar Holtgers Jr. (USA) and his horses come out at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). On Thursday, he teamed up with Pixel-K van’T Kattenheye to finish second in the $116,000 Adequan® WEF Challenge Cup Round III CSI 4* to kick off the first week of major CSI 4* action at Wellington International.

The dynamic duo powered towards second place, doing so after leaving all the poles up and crossing the finish line in 49.55 seconds.

Ireland bookended the podium as Bertram Allen (IRL) and Eddy Blue claimed first place and Shane Sweetnam (IRL) and Gilona AO conquered bronze honors.
