A Curtain Call Victory by Izzy Beisel in the $30,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix at Wilmington

Wilmington, Ohio โ€“ August 09, 2025 โ€“ Featured competition for the 2025 Spring/Summer Series at World Equestrian Center โ€“ Wilmington came to a close Saturday evening with the $30,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix of Summer III.

Izzy Beisel (USA) & Triskel de Kerliven

No stranger to the winnerโ€™s circle, Izzy Beisel (USA) once again led the victory gallop aboard Liz Hutchinsonโ€™s Triskel de Kerliven (Mylord Carthago x Herinys Lโ€™enchante).

Three entries jumped double-clear rounds, but Beisel entered as the final rider to contest Guilherme Jorgeโ€™s (BRA) short course, sliding into the lead.

Izzy Beisel (USA) & Triskel de Kerliven

โ€œMy plan was to go really fast from one, two, three, and four, because he has such a big step that I could leave out strides in the long lines. I landed from four and realized we were doing awesome,โ€ Beisel laughed. โ€œI turned back really tight to the oxer, and it all worked out!โ€

The duo stopped the clock in 39.844 seconds to take home the blue.

Molly Kindness (USA) & Liber T

Molly Kindness (USA) earned her second red ribbon of the day aboard Jayme Klostermanโ€™s nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) gelding, Liber T (Grand Slam VDL x Nikita), in 42.946 seconds.

Sarah Meier (USA) & Karlson HH

Rounding out the podium was Sarah Meier (USA) and her own 11-year-old Selle Franรงais gelding, Karlson HH (Kannan x Corona LS), in 43.491 seconds.

Having racked up wins on her string of horses, this one marked a special victoryโ€”it was her first time leading the gallop with the 18-year-old Selle Franรงais gelding.

Beisel felt โ€œso excitedโ€ after her first grand prix win on Triskel De Kerliven. โ€œHe has seriously been knocking at the door for this with me. He is just so cool. This is actually his last grand prix for a while because we are going to focus on the equitation, since he is doing the big EQ finals with me. It was a perfect way to wrap up our summer.โ€

โ€œI want to thank Liz for sharing her amazing horse with me. I am so grateful for the opportunity,โ€ Beisel expressed.
