Thermal, California, USA โ February 23, 2025 โย At this time last year, Camryn Chalmers (USA) had just acquired Feeling de Pleville, and now, a year later, the duo is accomplishing major goals together. For Chalmers, one of those goals is competing at the 2025 FEI Jumping North American Youth Championships, and she got one step closer on Sunday, February 23.

Chalmers and Feeling de Pleville produced the only clear round in the $20,000 North American Young Rider Championship Trial 1.45m, sponsored by theย Ullman Group, to take home the win and to earn points toward being selected as part of the Zone 10 Young Rider team for 2025.

Finishing in second place were Emmeline Adamick (USA) and Andysโboy Bretoniere, and Talise Baker-Matsuoka (USA) and Levisto Junior A Z took home third place.

โIt definitely was a challenging course. That was big!โ said Chalmers of the track that course designer Alan Wade set for the trial. โThe oxers were wide. The turns were tight, but I knew that [Feeling de Pleville] had it. I felt a sense of peace and confidence going in and I was like, โWeโre here because we love horses. Iโm doing this because I love this animal. I was like, โYou know what? Weโre going to go out there and have fun!โโ

In speaking of the 10-year-old Selle Francais mare, โFeeling,โ Chalmers continued, โI really appreciate her confidence and how she always just wants to get to the other side. She loves to win, and sheโs a great competitor.โ
