
Thermal, California, USA – February 01, 2025 – Karl Cook (USA) was up to his old tricks on Saturday at Desert International Horse Park (DIHP). Cook and Etundel de Marocy top the podium in the $63,000 City of La Quinta Grand Prix CSI 2*. Thirty-two combinations contested the first round course of the 1.45m challenge but only four advanced to the tiebreaker. Della White (USA) and Gucci had one rail down, having to settle for fourth place.

In the end, it Cook (USA) who delivered the “master chef class”, slicing and dicing through the track flawlessly before crossing the finish line in 37.46 seconds.

The battle for first place was between Canada and the United States. Ali Ramsay (CAN) aced the final course too with Diamond. Their jump-off performance in 38.23 seconds
Nicole Haunert (USA) and Cornetta Rouge PS conquered third place with no penalties too, doing so in 41.41 seconds.
