Doha, Qatar – February 11, 2026 – The Longines Arena at Al Shaqab hosted the opening day of H.H. The Amir’s Sword 2026, part of the Doha Equestrian Tour calendar. Competition began across the international programme, with early CSI 5* action setting the tone for the week ahead. Picking right where she left off, Kristen Vanderveen (USA) was back on the podium again, this time riding Bull Run’s Jireh in the feature class of the day, the €106,000 Speed Challenge CSI 5*.
Ever since her arrival to compete at the Doha Equestrian Tour (DET), Kristen Vanderveen (USA) has been a familiar at the top of the final standings of several classes there. It was no different on Wednesday as she guided Bull Run’s Jireh (Uriko x Colman) towards reserve honors, just a half second behind the winning mark.
