Campbell Brown & Colina Z Conquer the BrainJuice Grand Prix CSI U-25

Wellington, Florida – January 18, 2026 – Campbell Brown (USA) took the win as last to go in the $31,020 BrainJuice Grand Prix CSI U-25 aboard Colina Z, closing out Week 2 of under-25 competition on the grass derby field at Wellington International. The Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) season at Wellington International hosts 12 weeks of FEI competition and runs through March 29 in Wellington, FL.

With a 21-rider lineup in the second round, Brown was last to go aboard Colina Z, a 12-year-old Zangersheide mare (Hofgut Liederbach’s Ingmar) owned by MM Equestrian.

She stopped the clock at a quick 35.57 seconds, taking the lead from fellow American Caroline Mawhinney (USA) aboard her 13-year-old Zangersheide gelding, Carsey Z

Virginia Bonnie (USA) & Heldorado

Not far behind, Virginia Bonnie (USA) took third with Heldorado, a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Nina Bonnie.

Coming into the jump-off, Brown knew she needed to focus on her ride and not get hung up on what other riders were doing. “I know that my horse has a medium stride, so she’s good at covering the lines, but when I do the leave outs, she can be really fast,” said Brown, who rides under the direction of trainers Missy Clark and John Brennan of North Run. “I knew we could be competitive if I just stuck to my plan.”

Colina Z, imported from the Netherlands in 2025, has since been a strong partner for Brown, securing junior individual silver at the FEI North American Youth Championships this summer and securing a podium finish at the Youth Nations Cup for Team USA in Lier, Belgium. “She was perfect as soon as she arrived, and we meshed really well immediately.”

With plans to attend Texas Christian University next year, the 18-year-old rider plans to continue in the U25 series and amateur jumpers through WEF with FEI two-star competition on the horizon.

The U25 Series, unwaveringly supported by BrainJuice at WEF, provides an on-ramp to higher levels for young athletes and developing horses, featuring challenges such as changing venues, jumping under the lights, jumping the open water, team formats, and more. The BrainJuice U25 Series Final will take place during WEF 10.
