
North Salem, United States – September 21, 2025 – Alexa Pessoa (BRA) and Viva Las Vegas W put the United States on the podium in the $40,000 Great Oak Grand Prix CSI 2*, presented by J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
With the beautiful backdrop of Westchester County’s surrounding horse country, the Old Salem Farm September Horse Shows presented by J.P. Morgan Private Bank featured two weeks of world-class competition on par with what everyone has come to expect from Old Salem Farm. The 2025 Shows hosted an FEI CSI 4* & 2* event, September 9-14, and an FEI CSI 2* event, September 16-21, with both weeks rated USEF ‘National’ for hunters. Additionally, Old Salem’s September schedule includes a USEF National/Level 2 event, September 25-28.
Course designer Ken Krome challenged 31 horse-and-rider combinations representing seven countries with a winding 16-effort, 1.45m track for Sunday’s $40,000 Great Oak Grand Prix, where seven solved the questions correctly to advance to the jump-off.
Alexa Pessoa (USA) finished third with a double-clear score of 40.89 seconds aboard Viva Las Vegas W, Clover M Sporthorses’ 9-year-old Holsteiner mare.
