Samantha Schaefer & Frasier Fly for Bronze Honors in the $31,020 Dapper Horse Jumper Classic CSI 3*

Saugerties, United States – September 03, 2025 – The final week of the 2025 Hits Hudson Valley summer season launched top-tier show jumping competition in the Douglas Elliman Grand Prix Stadium on Wednesday. Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley in Saugerties, New York, the summer series has brought the best of the best, with five weeks of FEI international show jumping. International show jumping stars took center stage on Wednesday afternoon as the $31,020 Dapper Horse Jumper Classic CSI 3*.

World-renowned course designer Alan Wade (IRL) constructed his debut course for the week for a field of 35 horse-and-rider combinations. Eight nations had representatives in the starting line up, including Canada, Egypt, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Lebanon, Venezuela, and, of course, the home nation of the United States. Riders took on the opening power phase followed by the second half of the course consisting of the speed portion. A majority of the contenders brought their A-game, with the lead changing hands a variety of times over the entirety of the class.

Samantha Schaefer (USA) earned bronze honors for Team USA after putting in a clean and clear effort in 37.93 seconds aboard her impeccable partner, Frasier, Bonne Vie’s 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) gelding (Carambole x Padinus).
