
Wellington, Florida, United States – April 13, 2025 – The first week of FEI-level competition during the Wellington International Spring Series came to an end last Sunday with the running of the $35,000 Horseware Ireland Grand Prix. After two previous podium finishes earlier in the week with the same La Serra, owned together with Susan Heller and Marta Mattox, McLain Ward (USA) achieved his goal: a win!

Overcoming eight other combinations in the jump-off to win the curtain call class of the week there, the duo cleared all the fences while still managing to register the fastest time amongst all finalists, securing the win in 33.849 seconds.
Jessica Mendoza (GBR) and Summerhouse were the closest ones, yet more than a second slower than the winners, crossing the finish line in 35.124 seconds.
Pablo Mejia Villa (COL) and Lontender rounded out the top three with no penalties too, being timed in 35.496 at the end of their second performance.
