McLain Ward & La Serra Shine Bright in the $32,000 Haig Landscape CSI 3*

Wellington, Florida, United States – April 10, 2025 – Spring is in full swing at Wellington International as the second week of the Spring Series, presented by Florida Coast Equipment, welcomed record numbers to the grass derby field.Jumping from a starting field of 72, McLain Ward (USA) and La Serra shone bright for the United States in the $32,000 Haig Landscape CSI 3*– 1.45m.

Mexico’s Ana Catalina “Catsy” Cruz set a track that suited Luis Sabino Gonçalves (POR) and Vick du Croisy, his 16-year-old Selle Français mare (Lord Carthago x Vondeen). Six-time U.S. Olympian McLain Ward (USA) was the closest challenger to the eventual winners, finishing second in 33.80 seconds aboard La Serra, owned together with Susan Heller and Marta Mattox.
