Wellington, Florida, USA – February 16, 2025 – Marilyn Little (USA) has been one of the most consistent riders the competing the last two weeks at the 2025 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). She came close to scoring a major win on the grass derby field last Sunday at Wellington International. Teaming up with La Contessa, Little earned reserve honors in the feature class of the week there, the $140,000 IDA Development Grand Prix CSI 3*.

She was nipped at the wire by no other than the 2024 Team Gold Olympic Medalist, Ben Maher (GBR) and Ginger Blue. Marilyn Little (USA) and the 10-year-old bay Mecklenburg mare (License x Cornet’s Prinz) were right on the heels of the eventual winners, finishing only five one-hundreths of a second behind.

Cathleen Driscoll (USA) completed the podium with Idalgo, owned by Donald Stewart, registering no penalties and the jump-off time of 36.93 seconds.
