
Wellington, Florida, USA – January 16, 2025 – It was a busy Thursday at Wellington International during the second week of the 2025 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). To start the day in the International Ring, 14-year-old J.J. Torano (USA) took the win with Vitus K, owned by JET Show Stable, in the $10,000 Dodd Technologies 1.45m National Grand Prix Qualifier.
The young American raced past 22 other combinations in the jump-off, out of the original 84 other entries that took part in the first round, claiming victory backed by a quick jump-off performance in 30.605 seconds.
Enhancing his feat was the fact that he overcame Erynn Ballard (CAN), who finished second with Coline de Will. A young gun himself, Tony Stormanns (GER) rounded out the top three aboard Donjon d’Asschaut.
