
Upper Marlboro, Maryland, USA – October 25, 2024 – The 2024 Washington International Horse Show (WIHS), presented by MARS Equestrian™ had a full day of competition on Friday, October 25, from junior hunters and equitation to five-star show jumping.
The highlight class of Friday’s schedule was the $63,000 Speed Final CSI 5*-W, and it came down to one of the last entries in the class to show the fastest track over the course set by Nick Granat (USA).
Déjà vu! Afer finishing second in the $32,000 Accumulator Costume Class the day before, McLain Ward (USA) and First Lady, the latter owned by Robin Cleary Parsky, duplicated the feat. Once again, they earned a respectable silver honors, recording a time of 61.40 seconds, less than two-tenths of a second slower than the winners, Conor Swail (IRL) and Count Me In.

1) Conor Swail (IRL) & Count Me In – 0 – 61.24
2) McLain Ward (USA) & First Lady – 0 – 61.40
3) Simon McCarthy (IRL) & Narcotique v/h Dingeshof – 0 – 62.23
