Dinard, France – July 20, 2024 – Showjumping at its finest got off the a great start at the Jumping International de Dinard CSI 5* & CSI 3* on Saturday with the running of the In the €28,200 CRE Bretagne Prize CSI 3*. Despite going up against some of the biggest names of the noble sport, American Alessandra Volpi (USA) on Glamour prevailed in the highly-contested class.

The feat was even greater taking into account that the American and the 2011 bay Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) mare (Numero Uno x Iroko) had the disadvantage of being the second among the 15 combinations who took part in the jump-off of the 1.45m challenge. Despite having only one ride to use as a benchmark, the 24-year-old rider, who had already performed well on the first two days of the competition, delivered the winning mark immediately, setting the bar too high for her rivals backed by a time of 37.64 seconds.
French rider Alexa Ferrer (FRA), on Casanova ZSZ, were the closest but could only get1”61 off her time, which ended up being good enough for second place.
Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Campari completed the top three after two penalty-free performances too, crossing the final timers in 39.45 seconds.
