Split Rock Announces New Stop: The 2025 Woodside Charity CSI 2* in California

Woodside, California – July 16, 2024 – Already a popular venue, dating back over 40 years and hosting a multitude of equestrian events to include show jumping, dressage, cross-country, arena polo, and western reining, The Horse Park at Woodside is located on over 270 acres in Woodside, California, just between San Francisco and San Jose.

“We are excited to grow our West Coast offerings and bring our tour back to Northern California,” said SRJT Founder and President Derek Braun. “The Horse Park at Woodside is a beautiful venue that supports a lot of great causes and we look forward to being a part of it through this event.”

As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving as the beneficiary of the Split Rock Woodside Charity CSI2*, The Horse Park at Woodside will direct all raised funds towards programming and infrastructure investments. The Park’s mission promotes horse sport, open space land stewardship, learning for all ages and community enrichment. The Park offers discounted memberships to USPC youth (<18 years), the USEA Young Rider Advancement Program and the USEF Young Rider Program and it serves as a San Mateo County-designated equine evacuation center during natural disasters such as fire. The Park’s deep commitment to its incredible natural environment includes a native habitat garden, open space native grass and oak restoration programs, invasive species removal efforts and learning and volunteer opportunities in support of local flora and fauna. The Park relies on generous donors to deliver special projects and create exciting new opportunities for all who visit.

“The Park brings together passionate people around their shared pursuits. The Split Rock Woodside Charity CSI2* is a tremendous opportunity of firsts for us,” stated Executive Director Steve Roon. “Our first charity horse show will mark our first time hosting FEI level show jumping! While the Park has held FEI vaulting events and horse trials for many years, SRJT’s commitment to 2* show jumping competition marks a critical step forward for our Woodside H/J community.”

The Split Rock Woodside Charity CSI2* will host hunter, jumper, and equitation competition of all levels. Riders can expect to see jumper classes beginning below 1m with Junior/Amateur classes at a variety of different heights and young jumper divisions alongside FEI offering noteworthy prize money.
