
Wellington, Florida, USA – March 07, 2024 – Ladies continue to rule! Women were out on a mission on Thursday during the ninth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Besides sweeping the podium in the $32,000 Dodd Technologies CSI 5*, the ladies were back on top at the International Arena of the Wellington International equestrian venue.
This time. Lacey Gilbertson (USA) topped the $32,000 Helgstrand Jewellery CSI 2* 1.45m Qualifier aboard LouLou MPSZ, owned by Seabrook, LLC.
She was followed by two other female riders, this time not two americans but still quite a feat one day before International Women’s Day. Elizabeth “Beezie” Madden (USA) finished second riding Hummer Z for owner Abigail Wexner.
Great Britain’s Jessica Mendoza (GBR rounded out the podium on her own Summerhouse. Two-star competition comes to a peak on Saturday afternoon with the $62,500 Helgstrand Jewelery Grand Prix CSI 2*.
