
Wellington, Florida, USA – February 22, 2024 – Americans were once again defending national pride against many of the best of the world in the seventh round of the Adequan® WEF Challenge Cup on Thursday at Wellington International’s Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). The Lugano Diamonds-sponsored week brought both five-star and two-star competition back to the International Arena.

Fifty riders took to the two-round course designed by Anthony D’Ambrosio (USA) with 10 advancing to the tie-breaking jump-off. Less than a second separated the top three with Ben Maher (GBR) and Dallas Vegas Batilly claiming the blue ribbon.

In the end, the host nation was not denied a spot on the podium as Kent Farrington (USA) rode Landon, for owner Haity McNerney, towards second place in the jump-off against 9 other combinations, doin so backed by a penalty-free performance in 36.71 seconds.
