
Sacramento, California, USA – October 08, 2023 – Skylar Wireman (USA) and Citoki were in a league of their own on Friday at the 2023 Sacramento International Horse Show CSI 4*-W, claiming victory in the $44,600 Murieta Inn & Spa Speed Challenge CSI 4*-W.

Going up against 17 other combinations in the 1.50m challenge, the American blazed past the competition aboard the 17-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Catoki x Chambertin), topping the class by being over two seconds faster than the next-highest placed duo, crossing the finish line in 65.20 seconds.
However, giving credit to whom it is due, Karrie Rufer (USA) and Stern dei Folletti were the fastest, however, their time of 64.24 seconds came at the expense of one pole down resulting in four penalty-points, still being good enough the fourth position in the end of the contest.

Besides the winner only another rider managed the clear all the fences and complete the course within the time allowed of 79 seconds. Nicole
Nicole Haunert (USA) was responsible for the feat, securing silver honors aboard My Lady LaVista in 67.71 seconds.

Haunert also claimed third place after a more conservative performance exactly two slower with her other mount Ellouthago PS.

2) Nicole Haunert (USA) & My Lady LaVista – 0 – 67.71
