Sacramento, California, USA – October 07, 2023 – The host city got off to a great start last Thursday at the Sacramento International Horse Show CSI 4*-W as hometown rider Jill Humphrey (USA) rode Chromatic BF to victory in the the $78,000 Premier Air Charter Welcome CSI 4*-W.

Thirty-six combinations representing Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, Portugal and the United States were entered in the 1.50m jump-off challenge but only six of them completed the course in flawless fashion and within the time allowed of 78 seconds to advance to the tiebreaker. In the end, only four of them managed to duplicate the feat, all of them under the colors of the red, white and blue.

Humphrey (USA) and the 12-year-old black Oldenburg gelding (Conor x Concept), owned and bred by Branscomb Farm, rode triumphantly across the finish line in 40.67 seconds, almost two seconds faster than the next highest-placed duo.

However, the margin of difference between second and third-place finishers was tight. Olivia Cliver (USA) and Connor 69 was timed in 42.56 seconds for reserve honors while Matt Archer (USA) and Luigi VD Bisschop rounded out the top three in 42.68 seconds.
