
North Salem, New York, USA – September 16, 2023 – Saturday’s competition at the Old Salem Farm September Horse Shows featured various classes for junior and amateur riders in all three rings. In the beautifully manicured International Arena, Taylor Harris (USA) of Wellington, FL, claimed top honors for her and Casilia’s speedy, fault-free round in the 1.30/1.40m Junior/Amateur Jumper.
Harris successfully piloted Harris Equestrian LLC’s 11-year-old Holsteiner mare Casilia through Ken Krome’s (USA) two-phase course, stopping the timers on the fastest double-clear round in 33.700 seconds. Dagny Mactaggart (USA) of Millbrook, NY, earned second aboard Islay Jumpers LLC’s Freetown with a second-phase time of 34.455 seconds. Jennifer Gates Nassar (USA) of Wellington, FL, and Evergate Stables LLC’s Donvier were third with their time of 34.921 seconds.
The Old Salem Farm September Horse Shows, September 12-17, September 19-24 and September 27-October 1, host competitions for riders of all levels and ages, ranging from young children on ponies to top Grand Prix stars aboard their up-and-coming mounts.
