Culpeper, Virginia, USA – July 09, 2023 – Show jumping action returned to Hits Culpeper this week, as horses and riders enjoyed the new footing and numerous improvements at the beautiful facility. Six qualified for the jump-off during Sunday’s $20,000 Hits Open Prix, where they had to “turn and burn” to end up at the top of the leaderboard. Mary Lisa Leffler (USA) and her winning partner Zaza Z added another victory to their list with the fastest round of the day, edging ahead of Melissa Strawser (USA) and Darwin, who placed second. Hugh Mutch (USA) claimed the third-place award, producing a double clear effort aboard Cassava.
